Invitation for Hikari no Kehai exhibition

Invitation design for Japanese textile artist Kanae Tsutsumi’s Hikari no Kehai exhibition.

“All through winter, I’ve found myself staring at the sky, searching for lights.
I have been staying in Finland since last August.
The people here seem to be in harmony with life.
On one hand, the harsh winter is cold and dark; on the other, it’s beautiful. Nature takes my breath away.
In my works, I’ve expressed how my Japanese fingers have felt Finland.”

私は冬の間、空を見つめ光を探した。
去年8月からフィンランドに滞在している。
自然は美しく、ここの土地で生きる人々は伸びやかだと感じる。
（柔軟性があり生き生きとしている）。
また、冬の暗い過酷な環境に引き換え、目の前に現れる自然現象は息を飲むほどに美しい。（スノーダストや空の色、水が氷になっていく過程など）
この度、日本人である私が、滞在中に感じたフィンランドを作品として制作した。
