Haru is an educational project for school pupils. Haru is a small island (60°9.91ʹN 25°48.15ʹÖ) in Finland where Finnish writer Tove Jansson and graphic artist Tuulikki Pietilä spent their summers for 25 years.
The font is based on the island Haru and its history. The project’s base lies in a story written by Linda Bondestam. Further, in the Haru platform, pupils can learn and be creative with Tove Jansson’s existing narratives.
